Proposal

For my project i will take pictures in public spaces thats are mostly empty, this will be to indicate lockdown and people staying inside. I will take pictures of masks on the ground to show how they are not good for the environment and people should use reusable ones instead. I will also take pictures of social distancing signs and sanitisation stations at the entrance of public establishments. Small groups of maybe four people all wearing masks. Through my images i will try to voice how Covid 19 has affected everyone.

Artist Research:

Manuel Morquecho 2020: I liked this picture because of the lack of people. I feel it depicts social distancing and only leaving home for essentials. They are wearing masks even though there is nobody visibly around which shows they are still being safe.

Gary Wornell: I liked this image because its shows exactly what I'm going for in my pictures.

Evaluation

For my project I went to town so that I could take pictures. What went well was that I was able to get all of the images I needed that weren't of people. I have pictures of masks having been discarded on the floor and in the general wildlife environment. I could improve on my self confidence in asking strangers if I could take their picture for my photography course.

What my classmates thought of my pictures:

I asked my classmates what they thought of my images. and the following comments were made.

' The masks can ruin the look of the environment and you have captured that well'

' I like the detail on the first one'

' like the really candid pictures of the sanitisation stations'

' The empty store represents social distancing'
