Gordon Parks was born 30th November 1912 in Fort Scott Kansas USA.
He was a Photographer, Musician, Writer and Film Directer.
His project was segregation street photography. He took pictures of the segregated Black people in the city. It was to showcase that they were doing the same regular day to day things as white people and not the ugly stereotypes that the white people had applied to them.

This picture that Gordon has taken is of a black family hanging out on the porch together.
They are doing a normal activity. This picture is good because everyones face is captured in the frame

This picture of a coloured only entrance was to show how ridiculous it was to have separate entrances for black and white people. I like the picture because of the framing and unintentional posing of the woman and her child. I like the framing because of the bright sign above them.

Gordon took this picture to show that the white lady is not the one taking care of her sick baby and the Nanny is the one doing it. This picture captures the pinnacle of society during these times.
