Plan for what I will do:

I tried using the wacom tablet but i found using it hard. I accidentally deleted my drawing from photoshop when i tried to erase a part of it.

This was an advert on Instagram i saw for Picsart a photo editing app. I really liked the idea of a portrait with the white outline. In my opinion it makes the image stand out more and makes it more interesting to look at. I can use this edit style for portraiture and i think and hope i will be able to carry it out well.

This video talks about motion blur in street photography. I think it's a really good idea, especially if i execute it properly. It would require a slow shutter speed and a tripod, a lower exposure on the camera and a lot of patience to get the right shot.

Artist Research

Milton Glaser:

Milton Glaser was born in the Bronx, New York. his parents were Hungarian Jewish immigrants. Glaser took drawing classes with artists Raphael and Moses Sawyer before attending the High School Of Music And Art. He is most know for his creation of the 'I heart New York' logo.

It is a very simple design. and has been repeated worldwide. I like the fact that there is only three colours which makes it easy to look at. The font is easy to read and isn't too busy

A lot of his works are very bright and colourful. They stand out a lot and consist of a lot of lines as in there is not a lot of blending of colours. Milton uses a lot of vector art in his works. He has done a poster for Bob Dylan.

More examples of his works

I like this because of how the lines are coming out of the body and explode into something big. the heart in the middle really adds something too it.

Paul Rand

Paul was born in Peretz Rosenbaum in 1914. He was very interested in design from a very young age. He painted designs for his fathers grocery story and as well for his school for events. Rand's father was not supportive of his sons dreams to aspire art as a livelihood as he did not believe it would provide from throughout the years. Paul ended up going to a school which was largely academic because of this.

I like this logo because as it has a simple yet creative design, but at the same time has a pop of colour to catch attention from the intended audience. The colours match well and it is not confusing about what the logo says. The three simple lines are easy to look at.

The UPS logo (United Parcel Service) is an aesthetically pleasing design and isn't too detailed. The logo has one lime of symmetry down the centre. The parcel being above the rest gives it a standing point to show what the logo might be about.

I like design of Paul's because it is in a fun design. I like the jigsaw like anatomy of it where you have to figure out what the picture is without moving the pieces of it. in my opinion the design is supposed to be a chicken that's is broken up. I think this because of the red triangle's in the top box and the orange beak on the left hand box.

Eddie Opara:

Eddie was born in London 1972 in the area of Wandsworth. At the London college of printing and Yale University he studied graphic design. Eddie received a MFA (Master of Fine Arts) award in 1997.

These are my practise images.

For this image I used an app called PicsArt to do the line effect

For this picture I took two pictures without moving the camera. I wanted top remove myself but leave the clothes in the picture. Hopefully the proper pictures turn out better.

DOUBLE EXPOSURE IMAGE.

This image is the first unedited practise image

This is my practise edit of the picture above

Edited Skyline: I wanted to have a big window view with a space theme. I did a layer mask to do this. I put the picture of the universe over the window view.

This is a zoomed in version of a new picture. it is in the same style as the picture above.

this is halfway through editing my double exposure picture

This is the finished product
