Abstract Photography means to not know what an image is. You can see its a picture but you cannot Clearly tell what it is an image of. Main characteristics would be odd tone's, angles and textures.
The first abstract photographer was Alvin Langdon.
For our assignment me and my class were asked to take 8 abstract images of around our homes. I took a close up picture of coffee grounds and some brown sugar as well. the coffee looked like rocks which i was very pleased with.
Can you guess what these images are of :)

The red bristles is a brush to wash dishes with. I didn't like this that much an that's because of the weird lighting and shadows on and I think it could've been better.
The second is a close up of a paper towel. I liked this because
Brown sugar. I feel like the sugar looks sparkly and is pretty.
Aloe Vera Plant. I feel like this could've been more zoomed in or close up to make it not look so obvious as to what it is.
Close up of ground coffee. This is my favourite because it doesn't even look like coffee, a friend said it looked like gravel/stones
Soap Pool.
I really enjoyed this task as it encouraged me to take pictures of stuff I wouldn't normally. I would defiantly try this style of photography again because it gave me a chance to get creative with editing them to make them look completely different from the original. I think a good use of this style of photography would be for wall art. I think it would look good in work spaces and offices as such.
